What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a deeply immersive experience that uses vibrational sound to promote relaxation, balance, and healing. During a session, soothing sounds from instruments like crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, and chimes create a meditative atmosphere, helping to calm the nervous system, release tension, and restore inner harmony.
A sound bath is a powerful tool for relaxation and healing, helping to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and bring the body into a deep state of rest. The soothing vibrations from instruments like crystal singing bowls and gongs work to release energetic blockages, promote emotional balance, and enhance mental clarity. Many people experience improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and a greater sense of inner peace after a session. By immersing yourself in these healing frequencies, you allow your body and mind to reset, restore, and realign with a state of harmony.

What do I bring to a sound bath?
For the most comfortable and relaxing experience, I recommend bringing:
An eye mask – Helps block out light and deepen relaxation.
A pillow – Supports your head and neck for added comfort.
Two blankets – One for warmth and another for extra cushioning if needed.
A yoga mat or Shikibuton – Provides a comfortable surface to lie on.
Comfortable clothing – Wear soft, loose-fitting clothes to help you fully relax.
A journal and pen – To jot down any insights, reflections, or emotions that arise after the session.
Bringing these items will help create a cozy and supportive space for your journey into sound healing.

How should I prepare for a sound bath?
To make the most of your sound bath experience, it’s important to hydrate by drinking plenty of water before and after the session. Staying hydrated helps your body fully absorb the healing vibrations and supports the release of toxins. It’s also best to refrain from alcohol, caffeine, or other substances before and after the sound bath, as these can interfere with your ability to fully relax and receive the healing frequencies.
Although it’s not required, setting an intention before the session can help guide your experience and bring clarity to your healing journey. Lastly, arriving a few minutes early will give you time to settle in and relax before the sound journey begins.
By following these simple tips, you can ensure a smooth, restorative, and transformative sound bath experience.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, energy-healing practice that promotes balance and relaxation by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner's hands. This non-invasive technique helps release energetic blockages, reduce stress, and support the body's natural healing process. During a session, you may experience warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation as energy flows where it is needed most. Reiki works on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, creating a sense of harmony and well-being.

Are there any contraindications for sound baths or Reiki?
Both sound baths and Reiki are generally safe for most people, but there are a few considerations to keep in mind:
For sound baths, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare professional if you have certain conditions like epilepsy, a history of seizures, or extreme sensitivity to sound. Pregnant individuals are usually welcome, but they should consult their doctor before attending, particularly if they have any concerns. Additionally, if you have any recent injuries or conditions that may make lying still uncomfortable, please take extra care in considering the session.
For Reiki, while it is a gentle and non-invasive practice, individuals with serious mental health conditions or those undergoing intensive medical treatments (such as chemotherapy) should inform their practitioner before scheduling a session to ensure it's a safe and supportive environment for their healing.
As always, if you have any specific health concerns, it’s best to consult with your doctor before attending a session. If you’re ever unsure, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss what might be best for your unique needs.

What are the benefits of breathwork?
Breathwork offers a wide range of benefits for both the mind and body. By consciously controlling your breath, you can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes relaxation and reduces stress. It helps calm the mind, enhance mental clarity, and improve focus, making it easier to stay present in the moment.
Breathwork also supports emotional healing by helping to release trapped emotions and promote a sense of balance. Physically, it can increase energy, improve oxygen circulation, and help lower blood pressure. Regular practice can also improve respiratory function and increase lung capacity.
Additionally, breathwork can support deeper self-awareness, fostering a stronger connection with your body and inner self. It’s a powerful tool for emotional release, relaxation, and overall well-being.

What is Somatic Yin Yoga, and how is it different from other yoga styles?
Somatic Yin Yoga is a gentle and introspective practice that combines the principles of Yin Yoga with somatic awareness. In this style of yoga, the focus is on slow, deep stretches that target the connective tissues and fascia, allowing for a longer hold in each posture. Unlike more dynamic yoga styles, where the focus is on movement and flow, Somatic Yin Yoga encourages stillness and mindfulness in each pose, inviting practitioners to tune into their bodies and sensations.
What sets Somatic Yin Yoga apart is its emphasis on somatic awareness—paying attention to internal bodily sensations and fostering a deeper connection with the body. The practice often includes breathwork and body scans to release tension and increase relaxation, promoting emotional and physical healing. This practice is ideal for those looking to release stored tension, improve flexibility, and create a peaceful, meditative state. It’s accessible to all levels, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
